What Causes Pain During Urination Post Hysterectomy?

I am 45 yrs old and I had a full hysterectomy 13 wks ago. After having surgery the pain began during urination, I just thought at that time it would go away and it was normal and my Dr. thought the same. The second week after surgery the pain was still there so I went to see my gynecologist and she said it was normal its where she had to move the bladder around during surgery because all of my organs were matted together but would go back to normal. 4weeks after surgery still in pain she says maybe its a uti, cultured urine no uti advised to rest and take meds for the pain. 6-10 weeks later no change so sends me to urologist he does a Cystoscope, says I have a bladder tenderness and inflammation. He puts me on meds strong antibiotics in hopes that would help with the infection and inflammation. The meds are not helping, now its been 13wks and im still in pain. The pain now is during urination and a consant lower abdominal pain that does not go away. Please advise
medicines advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, I understand your health concerns.
This is just a chronic inflammation of the bladder due to surgical procedure and post operative mild infection.
Follow below mentioned points -
- drink plenty of water and fruit juices (cranberry juice specially if possible)
- take tablet vitamin c thrice a day for 2 days and then an alkalizing syrup (alkasip, citralka or renalka) thrice a day for 2 days.
Alternate vitamin C and alkalizing syrup like this for at least ten days.
- take monurol XXXXXXX at night after passing urine and then avoid bladder evacuation for another 5 hours so that the drug stays in bladder for at least 4 hours.
Attempt above measures and I hope you will be relieved soon.
All the best.
