What Causes Pain During Urination?

I am doing pretty well now. It seems like my bladder can not hold as much as it used to. Sometimes I have the urge to go and only a moderate amount of urine comes out. And I still have a little bit of pain in my urethra if I let my urine get too concentrated. (Like in the middle of the night when I’m not drinking water) I had to have my catheter replaced 3 times and I think it may have irritated my urethra. Do you know how long it will take for my urethra to heal? Thanks so much for inquiring about my health, I am staying optimistic that my bladder function will return to normal.
Your problems should get resolved within 2-3 months .
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for query .
The urgency for urination that you have is due to what is called as Over Active Bladder(OAB) which is common after bladder surgery and in normal circumstances gets resolved within 2-3 months .
The burning urination is due to inflammation of urethra resulting out of repeated catheterization and should go away with passage of time .
There is nothing to be worried about these symptoms as it takes its own time to get them resolved .
Take Tab Solifenacin twice daily for 2-3 months It will help to reduce urge for urination .
Hope I have answered your query ,please feel free to ask if you have more questions,I shall be happy to help you
Thanks and Regards.
