Calcium/vitamin D levels/Thyroid function tests/Sleep posture
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.
If you would have presented to me as an outpatient with this complaint,I would have told you that there can be several reasons for these symptoms, most common being-
1)Improper sleep posture and surface
2)Vitamin D/Calcium deficiency
3)Thyroid dysfunction
I would like you to get advice by a Physiotherapist for proper sleep posture and surface.He/She will also teach you some exercises for back which,if done regularly will bring significant amount of relief in symptoms.
Further, please get Serum vitamin D and calcium levels done.Vitamin D/Calcium supplementation can be started empirically.
Besides,I would like to know that for how much time does the pain lasts after you wake up?Does it improve with activity?
If you have some follow-up questions,I shall be glad to answer.
Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
