What Causes Pain In Buttocks After Ejaculation?

Question: Dear Doctor,

My husband has pain in his buttox after he ejaculates or when he has to use the bathroom. The pain can switch from each side of the anus. It does not happen every time after sex, but when it does it is painful. It is a dull ache, not a sharp pain.

Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query carefully and understand your concern. It is somewhat uncommon and the cause could be muscle strain. Urination and ejaculation requires the same anatomical structure to function that is pelvic floor muscles. If they are sore then it can lead to pain.
My suggestion would be-Urine test for infection along with ultrasound study of lower abdomen to rule out hidden pathology.
Does he have pain on prolong sitting at tail bone area or jerky rides?
Meanwhile he may do Keagle exercises along with Ibuprofen on as and when required.

No he has no pain when he sits for long periods or travels on unsmoorth surfaces.
