Posted on Tue, 5 Jan 2016
Question: In XXXXXXX i had a total hysterectomy (benign tumor ovary) then 9 weeks later had a large gallstone and my gallbladder remove. I am now having chest and back pains, (not heart related checked with cardiologist), no cough or difficult breathing, could this pain be inflammation in the surgery area. I'm worried that ever time I have a pain it means surgery. N

Brief Answer:
Pain related to surgical after effects

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

I have worked through your query in detail.

The pain which your are currently experiencing is directly related to the post-surgical status-Post hysterectomy and Post Cholecystectomy.

The pain could partly relate to inflammation and partly to minor nerve damage of the nerves in the surgical field.

It is important to get a confirmation of this by having a CT abdomen.

Further management is any is largely based on the test results.
Thank you,
