Brief Answer:
Hello Mr XXXXXXX

Detailed Answer:

Welcome to HCM.
Thank you for the query.
Well pain over chest area needs to be looked into urgently if pain is central or to left and related to physical activity or exertion especially if associated with sweating, apprehension and radiating to neck or left arm. Then it could be related heart and needs urgent evaluation with ECG and needs immediate medical attention.
If pain is elsewhere than above mentioned location then it could be due to multiple reasons like
Muscle or bone origin usually localised, increases on localised pressure or movement and usually not to worry and settles down with short course of analgesics.
If related to covering of lungs called pleura it is usually localised, sharp pain increasing on coughing and needs an x ray to look for cause.
some times it could be related to acidity which is associated with chest burning, reflux symptoms and improves with intake of antacids.
Try and see where your symptoms fit in and see a doctor once to ascertain the cause.
Hope this answers your query.
Wish you a speedy recovery.
Happy to help.
