What Causes Pain In Gums When Suffering From Anxiety?

Question: I went to the ER last night because of anxiety, my gums were hurting, dry mouth and a real bad headache. I was told all my labs and EKG were normal but my potassium was 3.3. Me already having anxiety that freaked me out. They gave me 30mg of toradol and 4 potassium pills. A prescription for Xanax as well. With this toradol in my system can I take the xanax? They said my gums were hurting because of gingivitis. Can anxiety cause this to stir up? I didn't have pain until after the anxiety attack.
