Brief Answer: You need to get an MRI scan . Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for your query. From the description of symptoms, I don't think your pain is muscular in origin as the muscle pains seldom goes beyond 3 weeks. Posterior pain and buttock pain is most often associated with Lumbar spine pathology. You need to get an MRI scan of the area done. So I suggest you to consult an orthopedic surgeon for a detailed evaluation and management. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
