What Causes Pain In Head With Popping Sound?

Question: Hi, yes please! My husband was working out this afternoon and while lifting he got a sharp pain on the side of his head and a popping sound. The pain went away after a few minutes. It looks like a small vein is raised slightly. He is 62 in good health
