What Causes Pain In Heel And Heaviness In Toes?
Hi,
Continuing the discussion.
Let me draw a picture of the issues I am facing:-
1) In the month of May I have hurt my left and right heel during trekking
2) I visited the doctor in office and he re-directed me to a physiotherapist
3) He declared it as an issue due to trekking and gave me some simple exercises
4) Continuing the exercises for last 6 months but pain not receding fully
5) Symptoms:- after getting up from sleep each morning I feel pain on the heels and heaviness of my toes. It goes away after some walking. Also if I sit on chair for long the same symptoms come back and goes away after some walking
5) Visited doctor again and asked me to do just Vitamin D3 test whose reports I have already shared
6) Medicines already started as you have told
7) Do I need to do any other test?
8) Is this the problem of Vitamin D3 deficiency or something else
Please suggest. I travel a lot due to office work. If I cannot travel its a problem for me.
Thanks and Regards,

Vitamin D deficiency can explain your pain.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for posting your query.
Well I went through your query. This is a very common problem which many people have come across this problem.
This is basically due to weakness of bones . If any unusual strain is put it starts paining which can persists for long time unless the bone weakness is corrected.
Now there are many causes of bone weakness. Among these Vitamin D deficiency is important and a common one. There are other causes like Arthritis, small fracture, post viral infection sequel etc.
As of now you have been diagnosed with vitamin D deficiency which can explain your heel pain. So I don't recommend you for any further testing for the evaluation of heel pain as of now.
If in case even after 2-3 weeks of taking vitamin D supplement , you don't find any improvement then we can consider thinking other possibilities .
Hope this information was useful to you.
Any clarification feel free to ask.
Regards.
