What Causes Pain In Hip, Nausea And Dizziness?
Question: Hi. I'm trying to figure out what's wrong with me. It started with one day I felt pain all over my body suddenly. It felt like it was in my bones. It went away after a few hours. The next day I felt this sharp pain only in my left hip. It constantly hurt, especially when I moved. It made me walk weird. I soon became extremely uneasy and nauseous and felt very dizzy, almost like vertigo possibly. This went on for several hours. I took some pain meds and motion sickness medicine which made it go away almost completely for about 3 hours. It completely came back after those 3 hours and was making me so uneasy I was honestly tossing and turning in my bed because of how bad I felt. I finally fell asleep and felt normal when I woke up this morning. But about 2 hours later I could feel it slowly coming back. Then it was back completely but the nausea and dizzy symptoms were much worse. I also constantly had to keep from falling over and dropping things and my chest burned pretty bad. This was when I was at work. I was so weak and stuff I knew I needed someone to drive me home. The symptoms are still there. I coincidently went for an annual checkup this week, and all my blood work is perfect that they normally check. Same for my urinalysis that they normally check. Please if you can help I'd be greatly appreciated.

I have gone through your question in detail and I can understand what you are going through.
The pain in your hip (referred pain) along with a nausea and dizziness suggest that the pathology should be in the abdomen, most likely in the gut. It could be anything trivial like an infection of the gut or it could be an intestinal obstruction as well. The pain that you are feeling in your hip is probably due to the referred pain from the abdomen.
The blood works generally doesnt show positive for the abdominal pathologies. the better test should be to get a USG scan of the abdomen, or a CT scan of abdomen. It would mostly be an infection of gut which will require some antibiotics.

Sorry. Pushed the submit button on accident. The general practitioner today told me she thinks it is a sinus infection and that my acid reflux was causing the burning in my stomach and chest that's been constant for 2 days. I'm pretty sure the sinus infection diagnosis can't be right, because I have no symptoms of one. I have also had several before, and the symptoms were much different than my current ones. What kind of doctor can you possibly suggest I go to to get the right diagnosis? I just wanna make it clear that the weakness makes me very clumsy, drop a lot of things and have to catch myself from falling a lot and that those are the strongest symptoms along with a feeling of something similar to restless leg syndrome throughout my whole body a lot. But I have the other symptoms mentioned in the first post too. I don't know if that helps.

As I felt earlier, the illness has to be in the gut, including a bad gastritis with acid reflux. You may get a USG abdomen done to rule out other possible causes. You need to see a gastroenterologist preferably. He is the one who will evaluate for all the abdominal causes.
