What Causes Pain In Inner Thigh Post Leg Injury?

default
Posted on Thu, 2 Jun 2016
Question: I fell on my bike yesterday and now cannot walk due to SEVERE pain in my inner thigh. I took some Excedrin which is not helping with the pain. I have always been able to take medicine without any issues but today I feel like it's causing my stomach to get upset. I've looked online and I don't think that it's a groin tear because it doesn't hurt when I press on my lower abdomen near my leg. What else could be causing me so much pain?

Brief Answer:
Muscles strained, or nerve contused.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

If you are sure that is not a groin tear, other possible conditions that may cause pain in the inner thigh after trauma include muscles strained, contusion or stretching of the nerve that supply that area.

Excedrin is used mainly to relieve migraine headaches, in my opinion, you need to rest for a couple of days and use NSAID drugs such Ibuprofen 400 mg thrice a day for a couple of days.

If pain persists more than a couple of days, you need to be examined by your primary care Doctor initially.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.
