What Causes Pain In Left-sided Lower Back, Left Buttock And Legs During Pregnancy?
Question: I am 6 weeks and 2 days pregnant. I am experiencing pain since last 2 days, the pain starts from left side lower back passing through left buttock to the legs. Could you please guide me what sort pain it is and if I should take any further precautions?

Back pain with radiation to legs may be due to disc related.
Is there any history of heavy weight lifting, weakness in lower limbs, any sensation loss or urinary complains?
Is there any cramping abdominal pain, bleeding through vagina, burning micturition, previous history of renal stones?
For treatment you should avoid stooping forward, lifting heavy objects. Take rest too.
Local pain reliever ointment may be applied.
In case of severe pain paracetamol may be taken.

Hi Doctor,
Thank you for your reply. I have little abdominal cramping. As I have been working as an assistant nurse, I have to lift, push and pull bed ridden patients. Otherwise, there is not other complains or history burning micturition, previous history of renal stones. No vaginal bleeding.
