What Causes Pain In Leg And Around Hips?
Question: I suffer with pain in my right leg from the hip area through the tight all the way down into the calf area. This happens in the early morning hours after having slept on my right side for awhile. The pain subsides after I change sleeping side. The pain is not present during the day only when I lay down at night.I will have surgery on the 13 January 20015 to remove the cancer which is showing up only in my lymp- nodes under my left arm pit. It is believed that once
the tumor is removed I should get my strength back because the tumor is contributing or causing the LEMS. How soon should my strength return after surgery?

Brief Answer:
you should recover in a few weeks time from LEMS
Detailed Answer:
Hello. I have been through your question and understand your concern.
As you might have been informed LEMS is a rare disorder, and most of the time it is caused by an underlying condition, generally a tumor.
So once you remove the primary cause you should see the first signs of improvement in a few weeks time and most important you will not need further treatment for LEMS
The full recovery is difficult to predict, but in two months time is expected the full recovery.
Hope this helps. Please feel free for further questions.
