Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

Pain in the left lower quadrant can represent a number of possible causes. One possibility is that you may be dealing with colitis. This is an inflammation or infection involving the colon.

Another possible cause would be build up of gas in your intestines.this can also cause bloating and abdominal discomfort.

constipation is another possible cause. If you have not had a bowel movement within the past couple of days but it might be reasonable for you to take a stool softener.

If your symptoms are persistent and progressive then I think it would be a good idea for you to be evaluated by your local physician. Sometimes treatment including antibiotics might be indicated if your doctor thinks there might be some type of infection.

In some cases imaging might need to be done including x-rays or possibly CT scans.

Thank you again for sending your question. Please contact your local physician for a consultation and physical examination.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
