What Causes Pain In Navel And Lower Back?
Question: I have been having a lot of pain abov
I have been having a lot of pain around the belly button region acompanied by severe low back pain. I have also had clay colored stools followed by bright yellow mucus. I have been quit a bit of weight as well. My stomach hurts to the point that it doubles me over at times. I have little or no appetite. I have had my gallbladder removed as well. I was also told that there is some kind of blockage in my bile duct. I have had several injections in the spine as well as the nerve endings being burnt. With all of this I still do not feel any better in fact I believe I am getting worse. What are your thoughts?

Blockage in a bile duct can not be just left alone. ERCP procedure should be done to determine and remove the reason.
Your symptoms are quite characteristic for bile ducts problem. Obstruction can cause such pain along with all other mentioned by you symptoms. You may have also dark urine and itchy skin.
I suggest you to get back to your doctor. Blood work (CBC, AST, ALT, GGTP, AP, bilirubin level) and abdominal ultrasound should be done. In case of liver tests elevation, ERCP should be done. This procedure is done with endoscopy. Its not a surgery. There is a catheter inserted in a bile duct. This allows to show possible obstruction. This procedure can also removed the obstruction (especially if its a stone).
