What Causes Pain In Scrotum And Pelvic Area Along With Painful Urination?

Question: Hi,
I am a 27 year old man from XXXXXXX I have been experiencing various discomforting symptoms since almost a month. It started with scrotal discomfort and urine burning sensation. I went to a urologist who got me a Urine routine, a scrotal ultrasound, a serum-cretanine test and a uroflowmetry done. All the test were normal but Uroflowmetry showed poor urine flow (Avg rate - 3 ). The doctor prescribed ofloxacin which I started taking. There was no sign of improvement. Then I consulted another Urologist who got me another ultrasound of kidney done and repeat of uroflowmetry. Ultrasound was fine but uroflowmetry showed avg rate of 8 ( and not a proper bell curve ) . The doctor prescribed me Silodosin 4 mg for 10 days which I had for 9 days.He also told me that I have Phimosis and surgery could be done. I took no other medicine apart from Silodosin and stopped Ofloxacin also as it had no effect. The doctor said that infection is unlikely as there are no pus cells in urine. All tests seem fine. But the symptoms are prevailing. When I wake up in the morning it seems all fine when I go to the toilet for excretion, it sometimes hurts during defeacating.Symptoms get worse as the day progresses. My pelvic area and hips also pain. Scrotal discomfort remains. It has been almost a month. Today doctor asked me to go for Silodosin 8 mg and another Uroflowmetry after having it for a couple of days. The only different thing that I did before the symptoms was playing Cricket and Football. I had undergone an Executive health check up in Medanta last year and everything was fine except that my Vitamin D and B12 levels were very low. I dont understand what is wrong currently. Please give your valuable advice.

Brief Answer:
circumcision is curative treatment in phimosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello Amitanand and welcome to HCM.

As an Urologist, i can fully understand and share your concern.

Phimosis, if present, should be the cause for your symptoms.

If present, you can stop Silodosin, as it has no role to play in treating it.

The only curative treatment for a phimosis, is circumcision, a minor surgery.
In phimosis, you'll not be able to retract the foreskin backwards, on shaft of penis.

So, now you can confirm this finding and get back if that's a fact.

Maintain good penile hygiene.

Wish you good health.
