What Causes Pain In Spine?

Can be due to a nerve compression.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The persistent pain even 4 weeks after the crushed vertebrae can be due to a nerve root compression. You need to get an MRI scan done to detect any nerve damage. In case there is a nerve compression then surgical decompression can help you. In case all the nerve roots are intact then using an L-S belt can provide some relief.
Do get some muscle relaxants prescribed from your physician. Avoid standing up or moving around. Absolute bed rest is needed for proper healing.
I hope this answers your query.

I have also lost my appetite I think due to the pain I am in Don't feel like eating and sometimes when I do I cant keep it down.
Any advice.
Thanks
Sitting is not advisable.
Detailed Answer:
Sitting straight is not advisable in case of fractured vertebrae. You should lie down straight all the time. You can fold your legs from time to time.
In case you get up from bed you need to use a brace.
The loss of appetite can be due to gastric acidity caused by the pain killers that you are taking. You can add an H2 blocker like omeprazole and an antiemetic after consulting your physician.
Regards.
