Brief Answer:
Cause likely to be infective

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic
Greetings of the day
Dear Ms

Presence of Persistent pain associated with nausea and greenish discolouration of stools suggest the cause to be infective etiology. Possibility of Acute Gastroenteritis needs to be considered.
Exact cause can only be attributed by knowing the exact location of pain and physical examination.

It would be helpful if you could provide me with the following additional information

1. Where is the exact location of pain
2. Is your appetite normal or decreased
3. Do you have any urinary complaints
4. When is your expected menstrual cycle
5. Did you notice any blood or mucous in stools?

Kindly get back to me with the details so that I am able to assist you further .

Take care

Thank you for the response. The stabbing pains hit on both of my sides and both sides of my abdomen. It is either a stabbing pain that takes my breath or can feel like my organs are doing summersaults. Normal appetite. No urinary complications. I had cancerous cells in my cervix which spread and caused the doctor to do a full hysterdctomy 6 years ago. No blood in urine or stool.

Brief Answer:
Symptoms are of Intestinal colic

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms

Your symptoms fit into intestinal colic as cause of your symptoms. Green stools suggest rapid transit of food (increased peristaltic activity of intestine) leaving less time for bile to remain in intestine causing it to be excreted unaltered. This is seen in Acute Gastroenteritis.

I would suggest you the following

1. Antispasmodics like Drotaverine or any OTC medication will provide much needed relief

2. Probiotics to be added

3. Acid suppressant and anti-emetics: Pantoprozole and Domperidone will help you reduce associated nausea

4. Ensure good intake of water

5. Avoid alcohol/caffeinated beverages

If the symptoms persist then it is advisable to consult your Primary care physician for further assessment.

Wishing you great health

Best Regards

Dr Deepak
