What Causes Pain In The Body After A Cortisone Injection?
Question: Hi my name is XXXXXXX I had a cortizone shot in my left shoulder this morning because of some imflamation in the bersa area. I now have total widespread pain throught out my body, my head is pounding and my pulse is 101 resting. my breathing is short and I took some tylenol and a xanax at 9:00 p.m. (two hours ago to help me relax and help with the pain and neither is going away. Just wondering if i could be having an allergic or interalant reaction to the shots. I have had bead reactions to other meds in the past and felt this same way. actually this type of allergic reaction is pretty rare to a drug like cortisone,though its not impossible. another reaction may be a sudden onset viral fever,that you may have got co-incidentally.
you should take anti-pyretic, anti inflammatory tablet with a anti histaminic tablet to have immediate relief. keep a watch on your pulse rate as you already have a tachycardia.
if at all,the breathlessness or breathing problems set it,you need to contact a nearby doctor immediately.
nothing to worry about. You will be fine
if the fever doesnt subside in next 2 days, you need to start oral antibiotic tablets
