What Causes Pain In The Chest After A Popping Feeling?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: Hi. two weeks ago I felt a pop on my right chest getting out if recliner. It's been really sore starting from under my right breast to the right back. Xrays showed no broken bones. I was put on steroids which are ending tomorrow, but it is still so very sore when I move. Any ideas? How much longer do I have to put up with this pain. Is there anything else I should be doing? thanks
Brief answer.....appears to be muscle strain
Detailed answer.....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
I have read your query and understand your concern.
Your symptoms and history clearly suggests that it is a muscle strain or may be some muscle tear resulting in pain on movement.
Treatment involves.....
Local heat 2-3 times a day.
Take oral anti inflammatory muscle relaxants.
Avoid weight lifting
Generally such type of muscle strain or tears take 2-4 weeks to heal completely.
Don't worry and wait patiently.
I hope it helps, however you may revert o me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks

Hello,
Icing is good and done in initial few days.
Now local heating is the best.
Go ahead with MOTRIN.
Thanks
