What Causes Pain In The Heel And Arch Of The Foot?
Question: I've been suffering from planters fasciitis for almost 2 years. The pain was mostly in my heel & arch. It was getting slowly better with lots of stretching & no tennis. What has been happening lately is the pain seems to have migrated to my Achilles. It can be quite bad at times, feels like a tight, stretched rope. Should I be concerned or just keep working though it?
Brief Answer:
You must not ignore it.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I have read your query.
I want to clear you the point that whenever fatigue or inflammation of muscle or tendon of any part of body occurs, then related muscles of near parts also start getting fatigued or inflamed.
That is why your Achilles tendon is now started having pain.
You must not ignore all this and get consult with your doctor regarding steroid injection and painkillers like aceclofenac+serratiopeptidase.
I hope you have got your answer.
Thanks,

I can deal with the pain. I'm more concerned on further injurying it or lasting problems. From what I know steroids and pain Meds are a temporary action...?
Brief Answer:
Single shot steroid may cure you.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the response my friend.
Its good that you are concerned about future problem related to plantar faciitis.
One thing I want to clear is that I have treated many patients of plantar fasciitis with single dose.
So many a time patients needs only single shot.
Anyways, if plantar fasciitis does not get cured it lead to chronic foot pain, Achilles tendon pain and in later cases it may lead to knee pain and osteoarthritis of foot, ankle, knee etc.
You must get physical examination by orthopedic doctor, he may examine you and also advise you xray of foot, to see angle of small bones of foot.
I hope you got the answer, if any doubt please ask me, I am here to help you.
Thanks,
