default
Posted on Wed, 12 Apr 2017
Question: I've been having severe pain around my right hip. It usually starts in my back right by and sometimes on my my pelvic bone. Sometimes it seems to surround that area becomes worse when I apply pressure and when I'm sitting and take deep breaths(as sitting on the commode. It feels like a sharp stabbing pain - but when it continues i have to lean on the counter to stand up. Pain is still sharp but feels like a burning sharpness around my right hip and pelvic bone. Brief Answer:
Can be due to osteoarthritis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
The pain in the right hip and pelvic bone that you have is likely to be related to osteoarthritic changes in the hip joint. This can happen due to tendonitis also. This is not related to a renal issue. It is best to consult an orthopedician and get an MRI scan of the hip done to find out the cause. Till then doing a hot compress and taking a mild pain killer will help.
I hope this answers your query.

The pain seems to be surrounding the bone in the fleshy part. My knee orthopedist didn't think it was in the bone. I do vinyasa yoga. Could it be muscular or indicative of a known deny issue?

Thank you! Please read follow up question to ur answer. Second part of question
Should have been indicative of a kidney issue?
