What Causes Pain In The Knee Post Medial Meniscus Surgery?

Question: Knee issuesHad surgery on my medial meniscus last week. I was feeling fine until yesterday and the knee is no buckling. I lose my stability and it gone hurts a lot more. I think I either tore it again or the llc because the outside of the knee cap is what is popping out.
Brief Answer:
Needs non weight bearing and hinged knee brace. Limb elevation
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
You should not bear weight on an operated medial meniscus till about a few months.
Swelling of the knee after surgery takes about 3 weeks to subside which is why you may be feeling a mass near the knee.
Wear the hinged knee brace and keep limb elevated. Wait for a week for the symptoms to subside then we can evaluate.
