Brief Answer:
Supportive care
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read you question and i understand your concern. pain in the toe and involving the foot at age of 83 is likely age related articular degeneration and needs supportive care with NSAIDs and calcium vitamiN D supplements and work up to rule out any metabolic causes for the pain like deranged electrolytes, increased uric acid levels etc. Physiotherapy, rest, keeping limbs elevated , massage of the feet will help. Take some tylenol and muscle relaxant, and if the color changes over the pain area or it swells, consult your doctor immediately.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
