What Causes Pain In The Lower Abdomen During Ovulation?

Need more details..
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for your query.
In fact ovulation pain after came off contraceptive pill is more intense but it doesn't last so many days as you describe, hence I will need more details to see the reason of your abdominal pain.
When was your last menstrual period?
Did you have unprotected intercourse?
When was the last time you have done vaginal swab for STI?
Do you have excess or smell odor vaginal discharges ?
Do you feel constipated or have diarrhea?
Do you have nausea or feel bloated ?
Where is your pain exactly located ,on lower or over your umbilicus ?
Have you had any stomach or abdominal issue recently?
Do you eat healthy like fruits and vegetables?
To relive pain you can try with painkillers like paracetamol and soaking in a hot bath.
I will be here waiting for your questions.
All the best

Thanks for getting back to me.... here are my answers (please also note the doctor checked my colon and kidneys on the scan and it is not appendicitis - all okay).
Last menstrual period was around 18 days ago (pain started late on 13th day)
I am married - not had unprotected sex or sex in past 8 weeks
I have done vaginal swab for STI since being married
Vaginal discharge started today only - and there is a lot. Cream coloured, no foul smell
I have loose stools....not diarrhea and no constipation
Yes I do feel nausea with it and I am EXTREMELY bloated now...I look 8 months pregnant!
The pain is located mainly in my lower right side - it is definitely ovulation pain. But sometimes the pain moves across the whole area.
No stomach or abdominal issues at all
I eat a lot of fruit and veg every day - I don't have a poor diet
I should mention that my periods have never been heavy either on or off of the pill. On the pill I only bleed for one day. Off around 4 days. I get one day of bad pain but that is it. I don't know what this months period will be like though!
Thank you so much

Have a vaginal swab to exclude any infection...
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear again!
While you have so many times that you haven't done vaginal swab and you have abdominal pain with nausea ,bloating better have a vaginal swab to exclude any genital infection.
If vaginal swab will be negative than all these issue are due to ovulation and hormonal changes due to interruption of pills.
Hence during ovulation time try to use much more water, less salted foods ,add probiotics in you diet and exercise every day.
If you will have ovulation pain another times than discuss with your doctor to continue with pills such as YAZ.
If you have any other question I will be ready.
All the best
