What Causes Pain In The Rib Cage Of A Child?
Question: Hi sir, my child is having pain in near to his rib cage. Doctor advised for a blood test and urine test. It was found that SGPT (Kinetic) is 44.1 and CRP is 13.1. What it indicates?

SGPT of 44 is normal--it is done to rule out any liver involvement.
CRP is slightly high ---it should be less than 5 mg /L, (but you need to give me your lab range for me to confirm). High CRP indicates inflammation in the body.
Sometimes it can be slightly high and then comes to normal on its own.
Does your child have any fever?
Any other symptoms?
