What Causes Pain In The Right Thigh?

default
Posted on Fri, 23 Sep 2016
Question: I have increased pain my right thigh when I put weight on that leg. I had hip replacement 2 years ago and had little pain since this week. I noticed slight pain when I leaned forward at bath sink and walked down steps. Lifeline medical PAD test said my blood flow in both legs seem normal. Strong Pain increased when right foot was turned outward or walked on uneven ground.
What causes thigh pain and how should I treat this ?

When will I get an analysis report and what other tests are needed?
What reports should be uploaded to help the doctor ?
What type of tests, treatment or therapy are required ?

Brief Answer:
I prefer MRI of the Thigh.

Detailed Answer:
Hi, Welcome to HCM,

As per your description, it looks like musculoskeletal pain.
Most of the muscles in the thigh get attached to hip bone. During surgery, some amount of injury might have happened to the muscle/muscles leading to pain in the thigh.

As the pain is related to movement, it could be musculoskeletal pain.

I prescribe skeletal muscle relaxant tablet containing Thiocolchicoside 4 mg twice daily to my patients with similar complaints for 1 week.
Please apply hot fomentation.

If there is no response, I will go for MRI of the Thigh to rule out any lesion.
Please consult your Orthopadician, get examined clinically and proceed accordingly.

Hope I answered your query. If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
