What Causes Pain In The Tooth Extraction Site While Eating Or Drinking?

Question: bottom extraction site hurts when I drink fluids or eat. I've had my extraction month and half ago, so should I go back and see my dentist?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

Extraction site generally heals initially in 10-15 days..
Pain after one and half months of extraction is not normal..
Once a clinical examination should be done to check for Infection or any remaining root piece in the socket..

Also please answer the following questions:
-Is the pain always present or only on eating and drinking?
-Do you have any pus or fluid discharge from the socket?
-Any bad smell from the extraction site or mouth?

only when drinking and eating, though it may linger for a couple of hours after. I don't have any pus coming out and there isn't any bad smell.

You should consult a Dentist and get checked.
An x ray can also be done to rule out and root pieces or foreign body impaction in extraction socket..
Depending on the diagnosis further treatment can be advised..
