My daughter is suffering from slight pain on the upper eye lid. There is minor swelling too.

Its a bacterial infection usually.
Instead follow the below mentioned treatment for 3 days-
Medicines are,
Eye drop Gatifloxacin 2 drops twice daily(antibacterial).
Eye drop Naphazoline 1 drop twice daily
Syrup cetrizine 2.5 ml once daily
syrup Cefadoxil 2.5 ml twice daily , you may need to get a prescription from your local doctor for this.
Wash kids eye three times with cold water.
Don't rub eyes.
Follow up after 3 days.

Thanks, cefadoxil syrup is not available with chemists in my area. Could you please recommend alternative.
