Brief Answer:
Upper GI, Endoscopy and other tests for proper diagnosis.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/55 - pain in right upper abdomen and right side back a little lower than mid back - after eating - no GB - nausea - consulted a Doctor - low WBC - high liver counts ....

Please give additional information:
- Since when have you started this problem?
- Does the pain occurs immediately after food or after a few hours after food?
- Type of pain: burning/spasmodic/ sudden or gradually increasing?
- Has stool normal color/consistency/smell?

- Please post the exact reports of WBC and Liver function tests.
The most probable cause may be gastritis with ulcer or pancreatitis and for this you need the following:
- Upper GI endoscopy and ultrasound- preferably CT scan of the abdomen.
- May need ERCP if obstruction to the bile flow is suspected.
- Tests of stool.
- Blood: amylase, lipase, review CBC and Liver function tests if the last reports are of 3 day or of more duration.
All these will help to get the exact diagnosis so that the most proper management can be instituted.
I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
