What Causes Pain In The Upper Right Quadrant Of Abdomen?
Question: I have some moderate pain in the upper right quadrant of my abdomen. I also have what feels like quite a bit of movement in that same area it feels like something is literally moving around. I had my gallbladder removed about three and half months ago. Immediately following the surgery I did have some experience of feeling like organs were shifting back in place but after talking to the surgeon that seem normal for the laparoscopic removal my gallbladder. But the movement is increasing in frequency after it had stopped 1 month after surgery. It's returned in the last 2 weeks?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am sorry for the situation you are in.
As you have had your gallbladder removed three and half months ago, most probably, what you are experiencing might be related to biliary sludge (very common after cholecystectomy). IBS might be another cause. Further abdominal ultrasound is necessary to evaluate the intra-hepatic biliary pathways.
I also need to know if you are having:
- diarrhea/constipation?
- fever?
- nausea?
- problems with urination?
- any unusual vaginal discharge?
- regular periods?
Looking forward to have the requested medical data in!
Thank you!

I am not having any of the other symptims you listed.
Brief Answer:
Nothing serious.....
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
As long as you are not have any of the symptoms as mentioned earlier, then, to my opinion, nothing serious. Abdominal ultrasound is advised to evaluate the intrahepatic biliary tract for possible choledocus sludge.
Buscopan can help alleviate the pain.
All the best!
