Brief Answer:
feels like a prolapsed lumbar disc, need to get mri done

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear XXXXXXX

Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

How was your day?

Hope this message finds you in good health.

I have gone through your query in detail and understand your concern.

it seems that you have fallen down on your waist in upright position. this may have jerked the lumbar spine leading to a prolapse of intervertebral disc in the waist region.

Just to inform you that there are spinal nerves just behind the normal disc, which carry sensations to our legs. When any disc prolapses ,it causes compression of that nerve causing radiating pain in hip and legs.

you should not neglect this at all and should get an xray and an MRI of lumbosacral spine done.

let me know the reports once they are ready so that i can guide you further.
at present, you should take rest, wear a lumbar belt for support, analgesics and anti inflammatory tablets, local gel with hot fomentation. if the pain is unbearable, you should see a nearby doctor .

do not bend or lift heavy weight.

I hope your question has been answered.

Feel free to consult me anytime for follow-up queries.

Take care,God bless.
Wish you a healthy life : )

Yes, I fell in upright position. But the pain is not consistent. Some time its bearable and sometimes unbearable. But I am finding difficult to bend. Also just wanted to tell you after i fell down i had normal pain for 2 days post which i lifted heavy basket filled with vessel etc while doing household chores and i felt like i got sprain in my waist. After that i was unable to walk straight also due to pain post which i had seen our family doctor who had recommended some pain killers. After that the pain was lessen and i was able to walk straight. But still the pain is there and becomes severe when i stand for more time or sit in the office continuously.

Hi XXXXXXX

Welcome back

yeah ,these are typical findings in a case of prolapsed intervertebral disc.
the fall doesnt seem to have done much damage, but when you lifted the heavy basket, the disc must have prolapsed out and compressed the nerve.

you are young and should not have problems in your future life. thats why you should not neglect and get mri done.

I hope your question has been answered.
