What Causes Pain In Thighs While On Dolo Neurobion Shots?
Question: I have been injecting myself with Dolo Neurobion Forte from Merck. They contain B12 with Lidocaine and an Anti-Inflammatory. I live in Los Angeles and I buy them from Mexico. I have a problem with nerve problems in my legs and feet that seems to be accelarating which I've already asked about on this site..
My question is that I have been injecting every other day in alternating in my thighs with a total of 6 so far. Is it normal for my thighs to hurt? The injections seem to alleviate my nerve (burning, pins and needle) pain. I also am always borderline anemic so that helps.
I have very thin legs and not do not have that much fat or muscle. Is it normal for the thighs to hurt?

Brief Answer:
Possibility due to the irritant components or infection at site of injectio
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome and thanks for your query.
If the pain is at the site of injection, it's due to the irritant components of the injection. The local anaesthetic lidocaine's effect wears off and then the pain starts. You can reduce the pain by massaging the area well after the injection. If there is redness or warmth, get yourself examined by a doctor or nurse to check if you have developed an infection ( cellulitis or abscess).
Take care,
