What Causes Pain In Upper Chest And Back With Sore Throat?
Question: I have pain in left upper chest and back as if an arrow was shot through me. Also my jaw has been hurting as if I were clenching my jaw. I also have sore throat that I think is caused from post nasal drip because I constantly feel myself swallowing snot. I do smoke but only a few a night when I drink. Im 26 years old.
Brief Answer:
Could be bad sore throat but rule out cardiac prob
Detailed Answer:
Looks like bad sore throat or reflux, but you need to rule out cardiac problem as cause for your symptoms. Please have ECG done if it completely normal than some NASIAD and PPI meds should help and warm salt water gargling also should make you feel better.
If ECG is abnormal than you may need further cardiac evaluation and treatment. As you are smoker you do have possibility of cardiac issues at your age. It would be good idea to quit smoking as well.

Brief Answer:
Most likely some infection could be sinus
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Yes, I do agree it could sinusitis with pharyngitis but with any upper chest and backache we need to rule out cardiac issue as cause for symptoms. Even smoking 4 cigarettes also free dispose you to cardiac issues. Also smoking can worsen and make sore throat persistent and not going away easily.
Please have cardiac evaluation and ENT consultation and it should resolve the doubt.
