Detailed Answer:
Hi,Thanks for using HCM.
I went through the query and understood your concern.
The symptoms of pain upper chest that goes from side to side and burning sensation in upper back suggest reflux oesophagitis that is more common in hiatal hernia and usually will be associated with gastritis. Along with eating healthier with more of fibrous food you should follow some of the measures written below.
1. Don't eat full stomach. Have little amount of food at regular intervals.
2. Don't sleep just after food. Have a little 20-30min walk and then sleep.
3. Head end of the cot should be raised to prevent reflux.
4. Drink more water. Stop smoking if smoker.
5. Exercises: This will help in normal bowel movement and also help in preventing symptoms.
6. Medications:
Proton pump inhibitor (PPI) like omeprazole or pantoprazole along with prokinetic agent like domperidone will give you relief from the symptoms. Also if pain is severe you can take syrup with local anesthetic agent. This will help you.
I hope this information helps you. Feel free to ask if any further queries and I will be glad to answer them.
Wish you and your family a very happy life and good health.
