Brief Answer:
Costo-chondritis/colitis to rule out

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

From what you are describing, the pain upper right behind the ribs especially when you bend or twist might be due to rib cartilage inflammation (costo-chondritis). A chest X-ray is advised to rule out lungs and cartilage inflammation.

Gas and colitis is also to be ruled out through abdominal ultrasound especially if you are having problems with bowel movements recently (gas? constipation? diarrhea?)

You can discuss this with your GP. For the moment, I advise to:
- take mephenamic acid if paracetamol is not easing the pain
- take probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora
- apply analgesic cream/gel locally to relieve the pain

Hope it was of help!
