Hi,
Thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com
This is Dr. Swarnava dattagupta answering your query.

I understand your concern.
You have provided a very short history. However, you have mentioned cervical spondylosis. The type of pain you mentioned is quite common in cervical spondylosis. But to know the grade of it, seeing he Xray film and doing clinical examination is very important.
However, if such patient comes to me, I generally go for an Xray cervical spine AP and lateral view after taking history and doing a thorough clinical examination. I advise the patient to do physiotherapy in the form of cervical range of motion exercises. This is the mainstay of treatment in earlier stages. Also, heavy weight bearing and sudden forward bending is to be avoided. Hot dry compression and painkillers in the form of local gel application like aceclofenac-thiocolchicoside or diclofenac etc can be taken. If the patient has radiation of pain to shoulders and arms, pregabalin-mecobalamine combination is advised. Finally, I ask the patient to get an eye checkup done to rule out eye pain and headache due to eye problems.
You can consult your treating or family doctor about the above and get them prescribed. Also, provide an Xray plate if you have one so that I can have a look at it and tell you further.

Hope i have answered your question.
If you have any further questions i will be happy to help.
Regards.

Is it advisable to go to any Neurologist ?
doctor
Answered by Dr. Swarnava Dattagupta (5 hours later)
Brief Answer:
Yes you can

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Yes you can definitely visit a neurologist, more if you have symptoms like tingling or numbness of both upper limbs or radiating pain from neck to shoulder and arm etc. In such cases, nerve compression might be suspected. However, you might do MRI cervical spine in that case also to check for any neural compression.
Otherwise, the above treatment should be effective if followed regularly.

Regards.
