What Causes Pain, Redness And Swelling In The Lower Corner Of Eye?

Question: I have what seems to be a cold in the eye--- some redness and a very little swelling but it has ache and hurts to touch the one small area towards the lower corner . I am at a cottage and no eye doctor till Tues---

Is there any thing I can do to relieve this???

I reviewed your history.
These symptoms of redness and swelling in the lower corner with pain can be because of infection/inflammation of the glands of the eyelids like hordeolum.

I usually treat conditions like this by the use of antibiotic eye drops like Moxifloxacin eye drops and warm compression. You need to continue tylenol for pain relief.

If possible do send me a photo of the affected eye so that I can confirm the diagnosis and advice you accordingly since you are not able to visit doctor.
