What Causes Pain While Lowering Chin Towards The Chest?

It could be a lymph node swelling.
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Have you had any cough or cold or throat pain at the beginning of the swelling? It could probably be a lymph node swelling which is usually the commonest swelling in the area.
I suggest you see your Doctor or GP who can examine you and could suggest a Ultrasound for the neck to know what the swelling is and also an FNAC which is a test where they put a needle into the lump and aspirate cells out of it to know what the swelling is. It causes minimal pain when the needle goes in.
If it is a lymph node swelling then you would require a course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory medicines.
So please see your Doctor and do let me know if I can help you with any other queries. And do send me the reports if you get any tests done.
Take care.
