Question: I had painful inflammation in both ears. The skin inside and around the edge of my ears turned dark. I then had a cold. Now i have red bumps going down from the back of my ears towards my neck, around my elbows and on my arms. They are red and flat-looking, slightly raised.

could be otitis media or externa or fungal infecti

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Painful Inflammation of both ears could be due to otitis media or middle ear infection, otitis externa or rarely fungal infection.

You must undergo routine blood counts with examination of family doctor for otoscopy to rule out ear pathology.

You should consult ENT specialist for complete medical history and thoroughly clinical examination.
