Question: I have a painful internal knot it feels like in my rear end on the lower left side close to my butt crack. Should I get it checked out? There is some soreness associated but not necessarily during bowel movements but it is tender to touch and no blood or anything. stools are passing fine it seems, previous constipation through maybe stained anus muscle

The answer is yes, definitely you need to get it checked . Painful knot like lesion to the left of cleft suggest the possibility of either perianal abscess or fistula in anus with abscess formation. In either case diagnosis is possible by clinical examination.
In the meantime I would suggest you the following which will definitely help
1. Hot seitz bath; to a tub of lukewarm water add handful of common table salt. Sit in it immersing your bottom for 15 to 20 minutes each session twice a day. It will help in reducing the pain and inflammation.
2. Analgesic and anti inflammatory like ibuprofen will definitely help
