What Causes Painful Left Salivary Gland Under Jaw Bone?
gum/teeth infection, salivary gland disorder
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
As far as the pain in the gland is concerned I have two possibilities.
Either it can be secondary to gum or teeth infection. The second possibility can be a salivary gland inflammation secondary to any stone in the gland or bacterial infection of the glands.
Since you are telling there is no pain in the teeth it can be secondary to salivary gland disorders. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. You need to take a radiograph like OPG to rule out any teeth infection. Mean while you can take a course of antibiotics like amoxycillin and metronidazole (if you are not allergic). I hope my answer will help you. If any queries are there, reply me back.
Take care..
