Brief Answer:
Most probably a lymph node.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Read the history and understood it.

Cold sore on the upper lip indicate that the body's immunity is low.

I would like to know a few more details for me to help you more, please provide:
Does the swelling increase on chewing?
Are there any problem in the mouth like a caries tooth / swollen gums / a minor injury / tonsillitis or so?
Any fever or any other symptoms which you feel may or not be related to this lump?
Was there any secondary infection in the cold sore?

The probable diagnosis in reference to the history of a lump behind the right ear, XXXXXXX character along with sudden appearance, movable character on the right jaw bone, hurting when the head is moved indicate that the swelling is most probably due to a lymph node.
Sometimes such node may be reactionary in nature.

This one may be palpable and others in the chain may not be large enough to be palpable.

I would advise you the following:
Get the blood and urine checked ( I know you are 10 weeks postpartum).
In view of this and if you are breast feeding the baby, the ''safe'' antibiotic and an anti-inflammatory like Ibuprofen can be taken so that the problem is settled.
Please discuss this your Gynecologist about which medicines can be taken in this situation which will be safe for your baby and you too.
-Consult a ENT or Oral Surgeon to have a clinical check-up an correlate to the other investigations.

* You may need a course of an antibiotic and anti-inflammatory medicines, for which you may need a prescription too.

I hope this too will get settled with time and the medical aid may not be needed after 5 to 7 days of treatment.

Cold sore has no definite treatment and is self-limiting.

I hope this answer helps you to get a proper diagnosis, and get a proper further treatment. Please feel free to ask for more or if you need further clarifications if you feel there is a gap of communication.

Thanks. I had a dental appt on friday past for routine checkup and cleaning all is well. I am not breastfeeding. The lump behind my ear appeared to be more of a pimple and is nearly gone. I will call my gp in the morning but it could be a week before i get seen.

Brief Answer:
Looks to be a lymph node.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your feedback.

It is possible that a minor infection in the oral cavity might be the cause of this lymph node.
Since you are not breast-feeding, you can take any medicines as may be necessary.

Noted about the lump behind the ear as a pimple that has nearly gone. This too rarely can cause the lymph node swelling.

A week can be a long time to wait.
Try to get a prescription at the earliest.
