What Causes Painful Rashes On Lower Back While On Flecainide?

Question: I have recently developed some painful sores and rashes on my lower backside and it's difficult to see. I'm going by the feel of them and they feel swollen. No fever but I recently took flechanide for my Afib and had to get off of it after 3 doses. My heart was racing but as I developed this rash I wondered if this could be a side affect of this medicine.

Brief Answer:
It could indeed be a side effect of this medicine.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

Flecainide has the known side effect of causing a typical rash and since your rash is concurrent to the doses of flecainide, it is more likely to be a side effect of this medicine. However, the possibility of other causes like fungal rashes need to be excluded before a definite comment can be made.

Let me know if you have any further queries and I would be glad to help.
