![default](/r/images/default.png)
On XXXXXXX 19th I developed extreme pain and swelling of my left calf, ankle and foot. Could this be a serious side effect of this anti-biotic?
Not a side effect from the antibiotic.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM to post your health query.
I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.
Swelling and pain in one foot is not a side effect of this antibiotic.
If you would have a side effect from the antibiotic, it would be the first says that you were on it, because the body gets adapted with medicines and gradually has side effects, not more.
On the other side, since the medicine is in your blood, if it was something from it, you would have the swelling in both your legs and not just in one.
I don't know your complete health history, but from what you are telling me, the most important and first things to rule out, you have already done.
I hope you become well soon, but I want to reassure you again that that swelling it is not as a result from the antibiotic.
Hope this is helpful.
