What Causes Painful Ulcers Around Lips After Taking Ezact?
Innocuous trouble, self resolving
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
Ezcat 90 is a 90 minutes prior to CT scan or any other radiology administered barium sulfate and is used quite often.
The ulcer on your lips is one of the many innocuous local reactions to the barium sulfate. It is most common in the stomachs sensitive to the barium sulfate.
It will self resolve. Barium sulfate is biologically inert and, therefore, is not absorbed or metabolized by the body, and is eliminated unchanged from the body. Once it is out of the system. Symptoms will start resolving.
Right now you can apply some local anesthetic oral gels and some low dose oral hydrocortisone gels like triamcinolone acetate etc.
It will self resolve. Dont worry. Avoid future scans with barium and replace them with some friendly one like Meglumine diatrizoate. Weight is worth losing here as it itself can have many catastrophes.
Some other adverse effects are
Bloating
constipation (severe, continuing)
cramping (severe)
nausea or vomiting
stomach or lower abdominal pain
tightness in chest or troubled breathing
wheezing
Constipation and cramping more common. Check out with your doctor and let them take care of you.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
May the odds be ever in your favour.
