What Causes Painful White Lines Inside Cheek?

I have some white lines which are not painful inside my cheek. I also have a painful ulcer/fissure about 2 cms long which is a white/yellow colour at the base of my cheek where it meets the gum. It has been there for just over a week - should I see a doctor or wait to see if it clears up.

As far as painless white lines inside cheek is concerned this can be due to some possibilites - chronic irritation of cheek by occlusion (sharp cusps) of your teeth , vitamin deficiency, low immunity , fungal or bacterial infection like candidiasis or lichen planus , habit (smoking or tobacco chewing) . As far as ulcer is concerned it can be due to vitamin B12 Deficiency , hormonal influence , stress induced .

-Maintain proper oral hygiene and do chlorhexidine mouthwash regularly .
