Heart palpitations are a feeling in your chest or neck that are felt as your heart is beating too hard or too fast or feeling of skipping a beat, so called fluttering. It is usually painless and isnt indicating any disorder,but may be sign of anxiety, excessive coffeine, alcohol, after exercise or some medications.
