Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HCM.
I have gone through your query.
Paronychia, commonly results from nail biting, finger sucking, aggressive manicuring, a hang nail or penetrating trauma. Who are repeatedly exposed to water containing irritants or alkali, and those who are repeatedly exposed to moist environments.
If any mentioned causes are present, they should be avoided. That is mainstay in recurrent cases.
I would suggest you to soak your fingers in warm water with antiseptic solution 3 to 4 times a day. Use of hydrocortisone cream will help.
Keep your hands and feet dry and clean. Wear rubber gloves with an absorbent cotton lining if your hands are exposed routinely to water or harsh chemicals. Be gentle when you manicure your nails. Avoid cutting your cuticles or pushing them back. Avoid biting your nails and picking at the skin around your nails.
This method should decrease your symptom, if it persists I would suggest you to see doctor for evaluation.
I hope this helps.
Take care
